I'm pretty sure the Olympics will take second place
in light of today's events.

Either way, I'm not totally happy about the Olympics coming here anyway.

I admit that I'm quite a cynical fucker, but I think the billions of pounds the event will cost would be better spent on schools, hospitals and better public services. The government are using the Olympics as a catalyst to build athletics stadia and 'Olympic Villages' which are unlikely to be usedto their full potential afterwards.

Also, how will these stadia benefit and develop young sportsmen and women? Surely more support at grassroots level when developing their talents are better than another stadium which they'll only use if they manage to make it to the top flight?
