He is a great player already
I really resent the way the press pile pressure on him to win though, he is still really young.

He's not Tim Henman.
He's much, much more consistent. Grass isn't even his best surface (he's much better on hardcourts).

He doesn't mind the pressure, and as they've said on the punditry plenty of times, we always hoped Tim Henman would win but we never actually believed he would, where as Andy Murray we believe he should rather than just hope.

they just talk about his ability and previous performance. You may get headlines such as "Come on Murray" etc but isn't that just showing support (which if they didn't they'd get letters to the editor)

Perhaps Murray was a bad example,
I don't like the way the media like to build people up just to tear them down again.

But it sells, so we are stuck with it.

I think it's because the British almost feels slighted if someone we've been nice to doesn't deliver.
