I like the way
that if a city centre as large as Birmingham is evacuated, it gets pretty much no coverage on the news.

because it's hopefully a hoax
and until we know otherwise it serves little purpose to run footage of newscasters with little more to report than the evacuation. The exception being rolling news channels who can keep reminding us of it via news tickers while reporting other stuff.

on the other hand maybe there's a priority list somewhere that reads

1. Bombs
2. Brummies
