I've never been to Scotland but I imagine it's a bit like Wales but more towards the north.

it is not very much like wales.
wales is like england other than london, but with two languages.
scotland is like england with london only with more booze and colder.

also there are very north bits of scotland that are different again
in that it is even colder and there is even more booze.
but there are very few people there so it barely counts as a place.
