The last time I actually enjoyed it was 1995.
But then I am fucking well old, innit.

'95 - Awesome.
'97 - Muddy, but a great experience
'98/'99/'02 - Travelled in on a day basis, so got respite
'03/'04 - OK
'07 - Muddy, but found my mojo again :) (And Mrs Moose)
'08 - Great to show Mrs Moose some of the "rest" of the festival
'10 - Too big, too busy, too commercial, too full of cnuts.

'93, '94, '95 were awesome.
97, left early, really bad experiences for a couple of the girls that were with us and the rain was relentless.

didn't go back until 2002 and 2003 and fucking hated it both times. Realised I was never going to be 20 again so stopped trying to pretend I was ;)

I think I've hit that point.
Oh, and the size of the queue for the Orange "Chill & Charge" tent just sent waves of despair for humanity through my body.

All mobile phones should be handed in at the gate. Fuck it, if you lose someone, go and find someone new.

VERY MUCH THIS.
I (actually and a few others) were getting irate on here last week about the number of utter, utter arseholes tweeting and updating their facebook status from Glastonbury. Just. Stop. And. Think. About. What. You. Are. Doing. Then throw away your phone or kill yourself, but whichever, do it quickly.

It's just a new generation getting a bit excited about going to Glastonbury isn't it?
I do agree though, people going on about it so they can look cool are irritating as fuck.

I liked Glastonbury when I went, but I think there are other festies more worth going to. Endorse It last year was great :)

I promise to stop going on about it after this thread (unless directly asked).
I think we might try The Secret Garden Party next year, or maybe The Trowbridge Village Pump. Something tiny, with no-one you've ever heard of, just an opportunity to kick back in a field with beer, music and (hopefully) sunshine.

I've never been (so am probably wrong)
but Secret Garden Party looks really bloody pretentious (from the pics I've seen).

Besides, Lord de Ramsay's got enough money, I'm not giving him any of mine.

Hmm.. Interesting. I'm not sure that's my thing.
I'll have to investigate to see what else is out there.

Don't take my word for it! I've never been.
But I saw some pictures on someone's facebook and it just looked like a load of wanky art students.

Like I said, I enjoyed Endorse It last year, quite small and compact, bands ok-ish, but a good atmosphere. Clean toilets too! And men get to dress up as ladies on the sunday :)

Lots of my friends like Beatherder (next weekend?), I've never been though.

'97 was HARD work.
So muddy. I went with my ex, she was 5 months pregnant and hated it, nowhere to just sit down for 5 minutes.
