Oh shit, damn, that's quite horrific.
I'm not sure why they do, or even why people use the post office really these days. I can see how if it's doubling up as the cornershop for your little local village, but most places have a [supermarket] [metro/express/whatever] these days, I'd imagine.

The few times I've been in a supermarket, the staff are patheticly slow.
They hardly speak english and I swear if anyone moved slower, they'd be going in reverse.

this is going to come across as stuck up and middle class,
But this is why I go to waitrose and M and S food, as at least their staff seem to give a Shit and are helpful. Co-op seems to be exclusively staffed by morons and children. Same for sainsbury's.
I think its because I'm in the service industry too, and I make an effort for the morons that find their way to my restaurant to complain about the price of wine, and bad service is just laziness.

I fucking love Waitrose, where I'm moving there is a mini waitrose about 2 minute's walk, and a big one about 10 minute's walk.
Really looking forward to it, their do these amazing seafood sticks that are just like eating a huge lump of crab meat, and I really love their butternut squash and pinenut ravioli.
