The Jagger Generator at Canvey Island is closed this evening, leaving millions of homes across the country without power on one of the coldest nights of the year.

The generator, which was finished in 2012, harnesses the supposed limitless energy of former rolling stones singer Mick Jagger into usuable electricity. It is unknown at this time what has caused the shutdown of the power plant, although Keith Richards was seen in the vicinity earlier yesterday.
