Last night I did a fart in the garden
and about 10 seconds later was surrounded by maybe 5 or more foxes advancing on my position. Two cubs came right up to me, one slightly larger with longer ears than the other. I said "hello foxes" and they all turned and legged it.

The shorter-eared cub came back and hung around a little longer but ran for cover when I said hello.

The frogs are very wisely spending a lot more time in the pond and rock pools since the foxes arrived. Yesterday I counted 5 in the pools (I think mostly young adult males) and 2 very large ones in the pond itself (either very mature males or mature females). The pond is half full of flowering irises at the moment so there could be several more unseen frogs in there. There must be between 500 and 1000 tadpoles in there too.

Found a massive toad in the road once
Didn't want it to be run over so I picked it up and drove to the river and plopped him in. I was scared of it because it was huge.
