The system was supposed to be back up yesterday, but I strongly suspected it wouldn't be.
We had one request which the patient needs tomorrow, so it had to be made and dispatched today. Without being able to generate the approved label for it this morning, I had to come up with a contingency plan. The least risky option was using a copy of the approved label (including 2D barcode) and fudging it with MS Paint. I'm slightly surprised that QA approved the deviation - they did, because the alternative was the patient not getting the medication in time - and even more surprised that it actually worked.

We're pretty fucked if the system's not back up tomorrow though.
