put cat latches on the windows
and don't leave doors open

When it gets sunny?
We've got big bifold doors at the back of the house going into the garden.

I'm thinking about making a big screen that we can put over the door to let a draft through but going in and out she'll get past in the blink of an eye.

I really don't want her to get out as we live in a city but we've had her chipped, vaccinated and spayed. Will see about fitting her with a tracker so if she gets out we can try and get her. Or see where to shovel her off the road...

you can buy mesh door screens with zip openable bits
that velcro to the door frame.
I've got one

We'll try this
would be good for windows too so we can open them wide. Thanks.

Just let the cat out. It's not natural to keep cats in cages, no matter how nice you think your home is. Cruel

cruel to let it get run over/attacked by bigger animals/catch diseases
and cruel to the millions of birds domestic cats eat every year

Don't get a cat then . Sticking any animal in prison is wrong

I agree
I don't own pets

Depends on the animal doesn't it?
Our cat hasn't shown a huge interest in going outside so far as it's cold and she doesn't like the noise. If she really wants to go outside then we'll deal with that, if we can keep her happy inside that'd be preferable as she's small and we're in a built up city but we will see what the cat wants to do.
