A few of them have been singing in the pond recently and tonight I saw the first box-frog of the year! (I keep 3 water rockeries as extra water habitat for the frogs, they're made from old Royal Mail sorting boxes, hence box-frogs.)

It means they're out hunting slugs, getting their strength up for the breeding season, yay!

Very healthy looking, young, probably a male as it's on the smaller side, possibly a very young female. Too dark to check its ears to be sure either way.

The foxes are also back, which means another year of no hedgehogs, fewer birds, and loads of fleas. :/
