Coming up for 10 years since I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, shortly after my 40th birthday.
Although to be fair I knew I had it for the previous 4 years, but the various GPs I saw about my sausage fingers kept saying "oh no, it's not psoriatic arthritis".

Still, failed two DMARDs and got put on a biologic, seems to be keeping it at bay. It really only affects my hands, reduced grip strength and motility (and my fingers are a bit bent lol) but I'm still able to do everything I could before, just drop stuff more often.

tl;dr: don't get too downhearted, better treatments come along all the time.
