I get up when I want except on workdays when I get rudely awoken by my alarm (Work life!)
I put my trousers on, have a cup of tea and I think about leaving the house (Worklife!)
I kick the pigeons, I sometimes kick the sparrows too on my way to the car
It gives me a sense of enormous frustration (worklife!) and then I'm tired for the rest of the day
Sad in the knowledge there will always be a bit of my heart devoted to the fucking slog

All the people
So many people
And they all get in my way
in my way through my work life
