During the tour, at Earl's Court, Hetfield asked the crowd if we liked the new stuff. It was met with an unenthusiastic noise halfway between a "FUCKING NO!" and a "uuuuuuum". Luckily they played mostly older stuff, only 3 new songs IIRC.

It's always good when a band acknowledge that their older stuff is better
and don't bore a crowd with too much new stuff.
