Before anyone else does it. Sorry.

# PAUL O GRADY ITS GOTTA BE

# haha, yes
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:41, archived)
# *prays to dear, non-existant Jesus*
NOOOOOOOOOO!

Sodding Paul O' Fucking Grady. *evil face*

# BILL BAILEY FOR DR WHO!!!
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:35, archived)
# I said this during season 3
I have since come to realise this would be an awful idea. Not as bad as Robert Carly/isle would be though. Or that twat from Cold Feet.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:40, archived)
# that would be brilliant
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:43, archived)
# except for the fact he can't act for toffee
no disrespect to his genius and that..
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:45, archived)
# who cares if he can't act..he's eccentric enough to be able to pull it off
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:47, archived)
# Exactly
It'd turn Doctor Who into a farcical comedy. Bailey can't do serious (which I'm quite glad for, as he's hilarious). There'd be no gravity to anything, and it'd be ruined.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:51, archived)
# Right. Tennant, Eccleston, Baker, Baker, Mccoy, Hartnel, Troughton and Pertwee especially are/were all very gifted at acting with a bit of gravity
It's something that really hurt Davidson's popularity in the role, (the FAINTING.) and has basically been proven an essential part of playing the doctor.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:07, archived)
# remember Sylvester McCoy?
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 22:00, archived)
# See the last two seasons.

# Hear Hear!
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:47, archived)
# OH GOD YES
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:56, archived)
# It's going to be David Tennant* isn't it...
the doctor's daughter regenerated without changing didn't she...

*(i hope)
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:36, archived)
# I hope its the scottish bloke again aswell
OR the master
OR the big eared fella
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:38, archived)
# Well, the hand in a jar is still hanging about.
May lock him into the one form.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:21, archived)
# ooo
i like that for random newness. Yes please. Also the BBC have given him a season off (ie the year of specials) so he can do Hamlet at the RSC
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 22:02, archived)
# Nope
Tennant is out, I reckon. Also, whilst Jenny could be an excellent example of foreshadowing if Tennant does stay, she was brought back by the 'life mist' gubbins on the planet. I think.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:39, archived)
# That's too Star Trek 3 for my liking
It was the same stuff that was escaping Tennant during his first crimbo special. If it really is the end for him I am beyond upset. Seriously.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:44, archived)
# Possiblech
Though I'm not upset at Tennant leaving. That said, RTD leaving could improve his part drastically.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:49, archived)
# All the publicity has Tennant with Elizabeth Sladen
and the rest of the gang together, despite the fact they didn't actually come face to face in the episode. I'm hanging onto that.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:57, archived)
# Let's be realistic. If someone had already taken the part of and *played* the doctor we'd know it by now.
Plus the cut at the end was WAY too convenient. Don't forget the gratuitous close-ups of the hand and doctor River Song, either, she knows his regeneration so it's blatantly obvious he's staying.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:02, archived)
# Not blatantly obvious at all
I don't get your River Song point...
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:04, archived)
# The character elaborated on how she knew the doctor in this regeneration many years from now
if he dies here this not only screws over all levels of common sense it ruins the continuity made only two episodes ago.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:09, archived)
# Depends on the universe he was in.
And I don't remember her saying anything about knowing him in this form. I know about her being with him at the end of the universe though.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:15, archived)
# Rewatch the first of the two parter, you'll see the references to this form
and I'm fairly sure they've not shifted universes either.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:41, archived)
# They might just end it now tho
the writing is getting a bit tired at points
then RTD will bring it back in 5-10 years possibly?
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:05, archived)
# Well as the next season (with Stephen Moffat in charge and RTD leaving) has been confirmed
not to mention the specials between the two I'd say no.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:08, archived)
# Don't be daft
If he was out we'd know who was replacing him by now.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:00, archived)
# exactly
still, doesn't stop me feeling uneasy.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:02, archived)
# Point. I love David Tennant with great loving love.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:03, archived)
# It fucking better be Bruce Campbell.
And I don't mean the actor playing him, I mean he actually turns into Bruce Campbell and keeps playing the piano and advertising Old Spice constantly.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:37, archived)
# and also bursting into flames for no reason?
I like it when things just burst into flames
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:40, archived)
# The piano will be made out of fire and can deflect Dalek extermination beams.
Also it turns into a giant mecha robot with chainsaws for legs.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:42, archived)
# like in the theme song to that famous japanese anime
"CHAINSAW MECHA ROBOT"
*simulated 1970's synthesiser horse noise*
"CHAINSAW MECHA ROBOT"

*drum solo*
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:44, archived)
# I'm too stupid to get this...
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:38, archived)
# I don't get this
but I've run out of images of pants
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:41, archived)
# Anagram of the pianist.
It's currently a Something Awful thing. There are some very funny pictures.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:41, archived)
# that's a good film title "Anagram of the pianist"
I don't follow film stuff so I'll have to take your word for it
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:43, archived)
# mugomabe?
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:38, archived)
# hahaha

Paul O'Grady and Buster ftw!!
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:40, archived)
# They're not changing him surely? Thats quite a well kept secret if they are
I reckon he'll magically stay as Tennant.

Anyway, enough of that, for fucks sake get over to worldmusic.nationalgeographic.com/worldmusic/view/page.basic/home for Sigur Ros live followed by Bjork to raise awareness for the fucking up of Iceland. Message ends.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 20:53, archived)
# He might stay, but I'd hate it
Why change the regeneration event now? Why? It'd be ridiculous. RTD giving the finger to all the fans as a final farewell.

Also, ta for the heads up, I love Sigur Ros.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:00, archived)
# it's not a final farewell
he's got four specials to write before he stops being in charge.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:01, archived)
# Right. Besides, the continuity only just built says we know he survives past this point as 10.
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:04, archived)
# give it to bernard cribbins
(, Sat 28 Jun 2008, 21:03, archived)
# ^ THIS with bells on
