# Agreed.
Annoyingly, he's a good artist otherwise though, as is the case with lots of these fucking nonces, overpowered by their own self importance and desire to peddle their shit to the unsuspecting public at large*

* For about 100 million quid.

# hell yeah, if I could get money for sticking stuff into stuff
I would

but I'm not an artist so obviously it'd just be "some fucker who puts dead things in a glass box, send him to jail, he's mentil" etc

# I think with Damien Hurst and alot of other NBAs
the 'art' is about 'marketing' - that's the whole point

the art piece is irrelevant - it's why it no longer matters that he doesn't even produce it himself

the 'art' is the marketing process itself and has nothing to do with the actual object

*I typed this with my cock btw

# as much as money is a tawdry motivator...
...this approach beats freezing to death in a forgotten garret or having to paint pictures of your patrons or the gods they favour all the time.

# which is, let's face it, the fate of most folks wanting to be famous artists
who don't give up and get shit soul destroying job accounting for quarterly paperclip usage

edit: I got nowt against people making money, and lots of it, it's just when it gets dressed up as something magical when it's just $$$$ it makes me sad

# I have a lot of respect for him
and I think the prices charged for his 'work' are completely justified... in some senses you're getting something which is timeless and so has a value beyond mere money.
