saw some crazed waves so I thought I'd get a bit closer and film them. Within 2 minutes my camera was knackered and I was drenched. This is some of the footage I salvaged from the salty SD card.

This is going nuts on FB at the moment.
I can sympathise with your knackered camera. Lambeth walk claimed a camera of mine a few years back. It was a slow painful death.

I keep trying to tell myself "you haven't lived unless you've wrecked a camera" rather than "that was really fucking stupid and foreseeable".

St Ives Arts Club, if I'm not much mistaken. Watching something in there while these waves are breaking over the top of the building is something else.

Those waves are moving very slowly, did you add something to the sea to increase viscosity?

Think I recognize that place. Is the lifeguard hut a little further up? Near "The Hub" bar? Sure me an a buddy had a cheeky J there once. Must've been low tide.

What camera you used?
Would be really interested what it takes to achieve such shots.
Thanks

I'm guessing that was how you slowed it effectively and speed-ramped... Nicely done, and great choice of music. Love the BSG soundtrack.

Incredible footage. I've been there loads of times and never knew it was called Lambeth Walk. I can only wonder what it used to be like before they built all that flood defence/coastal protection stuff.
