I'm most definitely a royalist. I think they are the backbone of the country and we'd be far worse if they didn't exist. I'll be there with my flags and bunting, hosting the street party, fighting the kids for the soft drinks, crying when she makes her speech.

I don't really hav an opinion on them, as such.I guess I'd prefer to keep them, rather than be a republic, on balance. England's always been a hierarchical society. It'd be a shame if we lost a link to our past. I don't think republics are inherently better than constitutional monarchies.
