Are you not at some fancy cocktail dinner thing?
Order an old fashioned, it will make you seem cool to your guests and make the bar staff think you're a prick.

In a taxi now, I will take your advice.
If I don't like it I'll just pull a face and order a lager

Do you?
I always ask to make my own because A. It takes forever and I don't want to take that much time off a bar man. And B. Most people can't fucking make one.

Just have, cheers, I'll give that a bash. Dozer suggested having a whisky tasting to get punters in, any experience of them?

Never did one, but they're a good shout as far as I've heard.
Dunno how pushy you wanna be, but whenever I did wine tasting I negotiated for a cut of any sales on the night from whatever wine supplier we had in. Used to make a few quid in cash for me pocket off the books that way.

Think the idea is to pay a whidky expert to talk punters through various malts, then hopefully they buy some, I'll have a word with some tomorrow.

Ah, fair enough, I only ever did it through wine suppliers looking to flog wine by the case,
But add on a fancy menu and make some money.

He's taking Ra*c*el to the local Yate's, then a Nandos.
I've never actually been to a Nandos, so may just be repeating snobbery from here, are they that bad?
