Only seen a little.
My dad likes it. He has generally good taste in things, but I think this might be the first sign of his brain going.

There seem to be very few decent comedies around.
I watched Plebs recently, christ that was bad.
(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:25, Reply)
Sitcoms have been poor for a while.

Plebs was laff free, totally. It actually has decent writeups too?

What you like is not what people like.

Are you not at some fancy cocktail dinner thing?
Order an old fashioned, it will make you seem cool to your guests and make the bar staff think you're a prick.
(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:25, Reply)
In a taxi now, I will take your advice.
If I don't like it I'll just pull a face and order a lager

It's whisky and sugar and angostura bitters.
Done properly takes about 10 minutes.
(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:30, Reply)
We sell a lot of those :)

(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:31, Reply)
Do you?
I always ask to make my own because A. It takes forever and I don't want to take that much time off a bar man. And B. Most people can't fucking make one.
(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:34, Reply)
Nah, never heard of it before now, I may give it a try when I get back from the whisky freebie.

(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:37, Reply)
Gotta be bourbon.
Needs a twist of orange. Brown sugar. Look it up. It's the best drink ever.

Just have, cheers, I'll give that a bash. Dozer suggested having a whisky tasting to get punters in, any experience of them?

(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:41, Reply)
Never did one, but they're a good shout as far as I've heard.
Dunno how pushy you wanna be, but whenever I did wine tasting I negotiated for a cut of any sales on the night from whatever wine supplier we had in. Used to make a few quid in cash for me pocket off the books that way.
(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:45, Reply)
Think the idea is to pay a whidky expert to talk punters through various malts, then hopefully they buy some, I'll have a word with some tomorrow.

(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:49, Reply)
Ah, fair enough, I only ever did it through wine suppliers looking to flog wine by the case,
But add on a fancy menu and make some money.

He's taking Ra*c*el to the local Yate's, then a Nandos.
I've never actually been to a Nandos, so may just be repeating snobbery from here, are they that bad?
(, Fri 24 Oct 2014, 19:30, Reply)
No idea.
The one by me is always full of the sort of people I don't like.
