Back to work today* after a pretty good weekend
So! How does changing the clocks affect you? For me it fucks up my sleeping/eating patterns for about a week, even causes mild nausea at times. Do you really think it's relevant any more or should we just stay on GMT all year?
Alt: Best new music you've heard in the last couple of months? I quite like that new 'Royal blood' beat combo that all the young folks are 'grooving to' nowadays.

*After today I have the rest of the week off - woo!!

Royal Blood are alright
I quite like Girl Band as well.

no impact at all ... it's only an hour, you great jessy ... do you need a week off if you cross the channel?
I saw Hundred Waters by accident last week. They're alright for a soppy girl.

No way!!!!
There's just been a station announcement - Andi Peters and 'Good Morning Britain' are at York station! Aptly enough, he's up by the Gents.

Well both my kids woke up at 5.30 this morning so make of that what you will.
Alt. I listened to The Royal Blood album and didn't really like it but I listened intently and at no point did I turn it off so make of that what you will.

We were happily asleep at 5.30 without disturbance. Budgies only get up when you draw the curtains
That's what I make of it

I made the mistake of showing the eldest the picture you sent me and she ran off with my phone and I wasn't allowed it back.
She says "He's like a gorgeous baby parrot!"

Ah bless her. he is cute
I have a little video of him having a bath this morning, will send you that.

We had my brother's 3 all weekend. Frog is having a vasectomy for Christmas.

Although I did enjoy my nephew saying to him, "I thought you were going to be reeeeeally boring." Dramatic pause. "But you're quite epic really."

Also we took them to ripleys. All the weird and wonderful things. And the 4 year old grabs me in excitement. "Look at this auntie swipe!! You can see hundreds of people!!!" It was a fucking window looking onto Leicester square

I'm texting Frog to tell him not too. I would go through the full right leg reconstruction again before I had a vasectomy again.
If I ever discovered it hadn't worked I'd never have it done again.

It's only a tiny tube, surely you don't even need a local anaesthetic
Unless you're some kind of gigantic bender

its the day after when your nuts are the size of peaches, black and you feel like you have been kicked in the bollocks except the pain lasts a week or more

(, Mon 27 Oct 2014, 9:14, Reply)
I am outright refusing to ever have one of those.
My ex and I had a huge row over my refusal to even consider considering the possibility of potentially entertaining the idea of thinking about doing it at some nebulous point in the future.

I will die alone, miserable and surrounded by cats and poverty before having that done.
(, Mon 27 Oct 2014, 9:23, Reply)
yeah
that sounds truly terrible compared to 40 years of period pains and childbirth.

men. useless.
(, Mon 27 Oct 2014, 9:32, Reply)

Kids woke up at 6am today, despite being up until 9pm last night as we went to Roker Park
to see the illuminations. I dont really see the point of clocks forward/back these days as we now have these things called "lights"

Alt:
I literally have not heard ANY new music for years. I'm quite happy to keep it like that, TBH
(, Mon 27 Oct 2014, 9:05, Reply)
Are the flood lights still up?

It appears to have made me a better person.
Discovering I was up before 8am on Sunday I went for a jog and had a shower before doing any sitting around, and I managed the same straight from getting up today. I shall try and keep it up in order to stop looking quite so pregnant.

Alt: That Aphex Twin/Taylor Swift mashup album is surprisingly good.
(, Mon 27 Oct 2014, 9:18, Reply)
keeping it up is what got you pregnant in the first place

There's one for Jason near Guildford.
It's called The Brown Trout. He likes bums and poos and that.

Even as a teenager I was a couple of years behind the curve on new music
I usually only get music for Xmas and even then it's probably a 'Best Of' which turns out to have only one of the two songs I like by the band in question and never gets played. I've asked for the best of ELO this year and I can't find one with the two songs I want on it. I'm beginnning to agree with my wife that I'm a right awkward fucker to buy presents for.
