I was expelled from a school
which I loathed.

Kicked out of uni, which I loathed.

What did I learn on the norty steps?

Never let the bastards grind you down.

Perhaps you should have tried...
...'stop being an arse in classes'.
(, Tue 12 Feb 2013, 21:19, closed)
Or 'if you don't like your uni course, just leave it'.

(, Tue 12 Feb 2013, 21:19, closed)
What
And miss all the fun?
(, Tue 12 Feb 2013, 21:40, closed)

Stop being an arse in glasses.

contacts are much more flattering
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 2:08, closed)
Or study really really hard so you can wipe arses for the rest of your career

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 14:31, closed)
Or take shit photos of ugly women with crap toys.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 14:51, closed)
Or spend the rest of your life working for free, which seems to be popular these days.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 20:41, closed)
Nah, I did my stint in the charity sector, I'm all about the money these days
I did stay late at work tonight, I only got in about half nine.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 22:20, closed)
Oh no, I don't mean charity work.
I understand kids these days can get jobs as long as they don't mind never getting paid. And like idiots, they accept it.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 22:24, closed)
Well I won't pretend it doesn't happen in film
When you're making something on a shoestring budget a lot of the time people do give their time for free - though it does pay off. Quite a few of our cast and crew have gone on to bigger and better things with clips from our movies on their demo reel, so I can't feel too guilty about it. And a mainstream film not only employed our actor, but had him play basically the same character as well.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 22:46, closed)
And now you're all growed up...
....do you have a job?
(, Tue 12 Feb 2013, 21:39, closed)
Yes
I fly a lot, saving Edwardian-era children from pirates and crocodiles.
(, Tue 12 Feb 2013, 21:51, closed)
Dressing like a weird nonce
Is not really a job description.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 8:56, closed)
You won't be
applying for pope, then?
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 9:28, closed)
It's more of a lifestyle choice.

(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 10:40, closed)
Could a bit of studying
have remedied these situations?
(, Tue 12 Feb 2013, 23:11, closed)
Absolutely
but they tried to kick out anything I felt to be important. Parents put me in a more liberal school and I excelled.

Uni reminded me of a factory production line. Did well in the first year - top marks. Disliked the politics. Won a scholarship to a small, elite college, top marks.

Combination of pig-headedness and patience.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 9:21, closed)
If production lines were run like houses of education, nothing would ever get made.
Or if it did, it would be late, generally substandard or not the thing that was ordered.
(, Wed 13 Feb 2013, 20:40, closed)
Ha ha
right you are. But the hedonism would be a great perk.
