It's immensely sad for the whole community. There is a funeral which brings back lot's of "best of"/"I remember the time when" moments. It's very touching. Then, at the wake, there's a confusion and a kerfuffle and arguments break out. Emotions run high. Another character yells at them saying that the dead bloke would be ashamed to see them all acting like this. They're very sorry but it turns out it's something they can laugh about later. A couple of the remaining character sit out in the countryside, staring at the setting sun. It'll be getting dark soon. It won't be the same. A car passes them, full of young people. "Out with the old" as they say and the credits draw to a close and the theme song plays out one last time.
