he seems quite excited by this whole volcano thing. Was telling me how his car is full of dust but he could not understand how we had clear blue skies. I explained to him that unless he lived on the coast of Norfolk he's not seen any volcano dust and all that is on his car is shit from the recent rain that's dried on the car.

"Are you calling Sky News a liar? I suppose you know better than them eh? Why do you think the planes can't fly? We are covered in volcano fallout..." etcetera.

I showed him this www.eumetsat.int/Home/index.htm and he just made the noises people make when they realise they have just been proven wrong but are not yet prepared to admit it.
