Mr Hitler was a bad man who was very angry with the Jews.He made them work very hard and sent them all to camps with terrible facilities and no TV. Meanwhile, Mr Hitler decided that he wanted to make Germany bigger. Because Mr Hitler wasn't a very nice person, he thought it would be ok to use some of the land of other countries next door. Austria liked this, and the two countries became friends. Mr Hitler also decided to take some of Checkosolv..Chec...Czecoolsovak...Poland, and sent big tanks and army soldiers with guns.
Now, Britain was a good country and was watching the Bad things Mr Hitler was doing. When the tanks got to Poland, Britain was upset and decided to try and stop the tanks going even further. Britain also asked lots of friends all around the world to help stop Mr Hitler. France was there, and Canada.
Watching from the outside was lonely, misunderstood Russia. In a surprising move, they sent their tanks into Poland from the other side, and shared it with Germany. Lots of people were upset.... See more
Mr Hitler felt that Germany still wasn't big enough. Denmark, France, the Netherlands and most importantly Belgium also had Hitler's tanks sent to them. Germany was getting bigger.
Meanwhile, Britain was changing its leader into Winston Churchill. Mr Churchill said he would go to the beach to kill Mr Hitler and stop him being bad.
Since France was being rubbish at stopping the tanks, Mr Hitler sent his aeroplanes to attack Britain (Tanks can't easily go across water). Mr Churchill built a lot of 'Spitfires' (aeroplanes with good guns and pilots) to shoot down Hitler's planes and won.
All these tank and plane fights made the countries tired, and the fighting became slow and had not much progress. Lots of soliders had died but the fighting still went on, basically waiting to see which country ran out of bullets or got too tired first. Germany also got bored of Russia being in Poland as well and decided to try and rid of them, as well as the Jews.
On the other side of the World, America was watching all this but was a bit too lazy to join in. Then, Japan (Germany's friend) blew up a lot of their boats. Suddenly, America was interested. They called Britain and decided to come and help kill Mr Hitler and Japan.
America sent lots of soldiers and bullets to France which was where a lot of the fighting was happening. I suppose it was a bit like playing a Cup Semi-Final at Wembley instead of a America's home ground.
Germany found it too hard to fight against America, Churchill, the Jews and Russia (the 'Allies'). Italy, who was on Germany's side until they started losing, joined forces with the allies too.
Germany became to tired and dead, and gave up (surrendered). The good team won, and lots of people were happy and there was celebrations and cake.
America, to prove the point that they had lots of big guns all along, sent two very very large bombs to destroy a lot of Japan. Japan gave up fighting.
Churchill smiled, and smoked a cigar.
Well done, Churchill.
