It was quite a nice suit.
He was a public school type (literally, a type. Pretty much a stereotype) and took his turn to sneer at mine.
So I flashed him the Gieves & Hawkes label inside my jacket, and he stopped sneering and retreated, defeated.
Didn't have the heart to tell him I'd bought it from a charity shop for £25 the previous week.
