# I was having a smoke in a secluded area outside the office a couple of days ago
when this toddler ran around the corner (somewhere not in the zoo) and hid in a doorway opposite me. As I started to head the way it had come to look for an anxious parent, dad comes around the corner and picks up on where I then pointed.

He then started smacking his child in his panic, to the extent I was on the verge of commenting, 'that's a bit over the top mate' before I realised how personally parents take any criticism of their treatment of their children, and shrugged and went back inside
