Patrick Stewart has been in Star Trek, Lifeforce, Excalibur & X-Men, so immediately appeals to my inner nerd.James Corden (from a personal point of view) has done absolutely nothing of worth.
I'd like to think that Mr Corden offended in some way earlier/off-camera, thus spurring Patrick Stewart into fulfilling his duty to (try) and take the arrogant fuck down a peg or two.
Unfortunately, I can't get over the feeling that Picard was coasting on Dutch courage, and trying far too hard to appeal to the all the hip kids, out there..
