As I was walking home yesterday, a small boy walked up to me wheeling a bicycle.
'Excuse me' he said, 'Are you any good with chains?'
I looked down at the chainy bit on his bike and noticed that it was royally knackered.
'Sorry' I said, 'I know nothing about bikes'.
'Oh' he said, and looked sad.
'I'm sorry' I said again, then feeling more needed to be said I added, 'You should have bought a skateboard'.
