I think actually it prefers to run on it's legsand just uses the wheels to coast down the slopes of valleys.

(edit) i'll take that as a no. in the amber spyglass, there are creatures with four legs in a diamond arrangement. they use their front and rear limbs to hold wheels, and their middle two legs to propel themselves, a bit like your picture.

i wasn't sure if you meant the triumphant's dark materialsas in 'reading his poo' (you can see a bit in the picture) like people read tea leaves.
I'm sure there are people who read dried poo actually if not surely there's a gaping market.

heh!there's lots you can tell from a poo. what the person has been eating, what diseases they have etc. Just ask coprolite :)
