im not interested in mel gibson getting drunk and falling overand i'm not really interested in rumours that he beats up his girlfriend. If there's enough evidence, obviously he should go to court but trial by media is neither fair or constructive.

If someone thrusts themselves into the public eye out of choice for extreme personal gain,as Gibson has, then they've chosen everything that goes with it. Anyone who is surprised by the invasive nature of celebrity has not been paying attention.

im not a domestic abuse apologistbut if the media coverage predjudices any potential trial then i think it should be curtailed. The papers can tear him apart after the trial for all I care but he's entitled to a fair hearing, the same as everyone else.
