# They totally fucked up that scene in teh remake
and Medusa.

They improved upon the scorpions and pegasus a 100% tho!

# haven't seen it yet
maggie smith was good in the original, though
(, Fri 17 Sep 2010, 0:30, archived)
# I imagine it was much better in 3D
in 2D you keep wondering why it keeps going slo-mo and moving towards the camera...
(, Fri 17 Sep 2010, 0:39, archived)
# i'm not good with 3D films
they give me terrible headaches
(, Fri 17 Sep 2010, 0:41, archived)
# I have struggled a bit myself,
I generally cope if I force myself to relax, and stop straining to see it thru the gloom...

I enjoyed the Avatar Experience™

# avatar is good
but i've got limited sight in one eye, so i can't focus on it properly, hence the headaches

# Ah
Yes, lack of stereoscopic vision would be a problem...

# it's getting very annoying
every new film seems to be in 3D. i want to watch the new resident evil, but i don't know if that's 3D or not
(, Fri 17 Sep 2010, 0:56, archived)
# It is, sorry,
but hey, internet downloads aren't!

I am led to believe it was shot in 2D so the 3D version is just a shitty conversion, haven't seen either yet
(, Fri 17 Sep 2010, 1:03, archived)
# but Medusa in the original was well scary, had trouble sleeping for days after that

I didn't harden up to horror movies until I was nearly twelve and I starting seeing things like Bad Taste and Surf Nazis Must Die

I know those are comedies, but they're pretty graphic

# it's fucking brilliant
great if very unrealistic plot, great actors and effects by ray harryhausen
(, Fri 17 Sep 2010, 0:38, archived)
# Not
one of Harryhausen's best tho, the last he did, the first with helpers, and they totally cocked up the scorpion scene IMO...
(, Fri 17 Sep 2010, 0:51, archived)
# no, not one of his best, i'll agree
but i've always loved greek mythology, so i'm biased
(, Fri 17 Sep 2010, 0:54, archived)
# Ah.
