Saw some docu once on this point, pointed out that all the new prequel characters actually had no character at all,he asked a bunch of talking heads to describe Star wars characters and their raison detre, everyone did fine till they got to the new guys, when it then came down to stuff like, 'He has a mullet, erm, and he's, erm, Liam Neeson plays him...'

Absolutely. That's the one thing that makes watching the new Star Wars such a poor experience.Ja-ja, That flying thing who's the slave-owner of Anakin and his mother "Your Jedi mind tricks won't work on me." and those bloody awful Battle Droids "Roger, roger" are just too stupid.
