it's not a virus, it's a dud drive

if there's vital stuff on there you may need to go to professionals to get it off. There are lots of ads in the back of the geek press for disk rescuers.

The more you try to use it the more damage you're going to do to it.

The noisesmake it definatly sound like it's on its last legs. I had this with my last hard drive, and this was before we knew the importance of backing up. Just be glad you got a warning about it!
