Why on earth did anyone settle there?
I've often wondered that about our species. The Inuits too: 'yeah, this looks utterly inhospitable, I'll just go and make a house out of ice then. Sorted.'

Yeah
Was in Vindeln one February when it was about -23C. The snow doesn't compress at that temp (pressure and melting and all that physics jazz) so it remains powdery. Rubbish for snowball fights and snowmen.
