# I thoroughly approve of Jesus riding a triceratops
It is obvious proof they were around at the same time, and us lot into evolution should simply hang our heads in shame and stand in the corner. I just wish they bothered to mention it in the good book; I mean for fucks sake, a triceratops is a bit more cool than a little donkey arriving in Bethlehem isn't it?

because his blessed virgin mother hadn't squeezed him out yet

# Ah
to be fair, my knowledge of all that biblical bollocks is a bit hazy

# A couple of years ago
this Turkish Muslim twat sent every member of council and all the directors of the Zoological Society of London a copy of his rather huge publication The Atlas of Creation which must have cost loads to print. What he was hoping to achieve, by describing us all as Nazi's is still slightly beyond me given the bollocks of his reasoning, but there you go. Where funding came from to print such crap, is beyond me; perhaps enough religious people sincerely believe in this shit. I just wish this lot in denial about evolution would fuck off to some island somewhere and live out their fantasy; given they have a habit of yelling rather loudly about their faith in life amid the rest of us, and it is dull for the rest of us

# i have no problem with people of faith
it's just the idiots who refuse to accept both scientific and physical evidence contrary to their beliefs, whilst asserting that what they believe MUST be true, because somebody wrote it down.

# Even that's fine, as long as they keep it to themselves...
Don't go shoving it down my throat though.

Something that really stuck with me after Jessie was killed: a Christian friend told me "God only picks the very best flowers for his garden".

That's not an all-seeing, all-knowing god who loves us all... that's just a thieving self-important prick O_o

# this really pisses me off
they only say that because it makes them feel better, they think they've shared their belief with you and soothed your grief and loss. they love god because they are self-important pricks themselves, they can relate.

# To be fair, she's not too preachy in general (hence the fact we're friends!)
I honestly think that she thought she was telling me something that would help.

But by her reckoning, if I came round your house for dinner and stole your best silverware that your mum had given you, then when you caught me said "Oh but I only choose the very best silverware for my dinner table!", that would make it alright? Hmm, don't think so...

Sorry, I'll not rant. I mentioned to my counsellor after Jess died that I didn't seem to be having any of the anger that all the leaflets told me I would - then had a bit of an anti-God rant, and she said "Ah, there's your anger!" :)
