ah right not only does May Day represent ancient British festival of Springtime but also is a working class holiday and celebration of working class solidarity to move it to October can only be an attempt to stop the traditional May Day demos.

I was livid when I heard that. I have so many good memories of being a child and looking forward to May Day was we'd always go to the local fair.
