A while back I posted a table I had made with stained glass in it, which is here. A second one is here, and a third here. They're tables that I bought and used a table router to cut channels in to install the stained glass, and then put a light inside.
Then recently I found a set of four teak tables with parquet tops at an antiques store that were about 60's or 70's vintage. They didn't have the lower shelf, so I had to make them. As I don't exactly have a lot of teak lying around, I used plywood and wrapped copper flashing around the edges.
The result is this:

I now have them for sale in a high-end furniture store downtown.
What do you think of them? Are they something that you would buy? Should I keep fitting glass into furniture?
Hey! It's my b3taday!

I remember the other one you posted. I like the glass set into the tables, I think it's a good idea.
I'm not crazy about the top of this table though, I know it's probably counted as 'vintage' but it just looks kind of dated to me, if you know what I mean. I think the other one I saw was more contemporary?

were bought from an unfinished furniture store, and are made of something called parawood from Vietnam.
Yes, these ones are a bit dated, but the store they're in carries old furniture and handmade stuff so they fit in. Lots of retro stuff.

That just happened to be the only open space where I could set the table up to photograph. The shop actually now has it set up with a brown and red sofa that goes well with it.
I should add that some of their stuff pretty much leaves me cold.

The next table I'm going to do is one that was requested, an odd sort of Moorish-looking thing I got for five bucks in a thrift store. That one should keep me occupied for at least a month...
