I spent 5 months working in Jaywick. I started at the end of the season and suffered the bleakest winter imaginable.
When people ask me if I'm afraid of anything, I categorically state "no".

The makers of the documentry obviously wouldn't over dramatise what they reported to increase viewing figures ;-)

What I saw on the TV showed it just like the town at the end of "A fist full of dollors or a few dollors more"
The one with Lee van Cleff.... only it wasn't cowboys it was chavs lining the streets...
I met someone who's mother lived in clacton and couldn't move to be with her daughter because she litraly could't give her house away.....
