# I described the nature of my work as 'nebulous' to my boss.
He agreed and said it was a rather excellent word.

# haha, I've deployed the "nebulous" gambit more than once.
Ever used the "George Harrison"?
I used it yesterday when I was talking to my mum.
She was saying stuff like "I don't like it when you're like this. I'd like to see the real you".
George Harrison wrote and recorded many songs, and the keynote, despite his much-vaunted spirituality, was a vituperative bitterness.
However, he also wrote a handful of sweet love songs, that expressed a gratitude for being alive.
Even Beatleologists say "At last! The real George!" www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XFfUt7HQWM when they address these few sweet tunes, but they're ignoring a lot when they do so.

# Interesting,
but how exactly would one employ the 'george harrison'?
It sounds as though your mum was maybe playing the george card.
edit: what were you doing anyway, wearing camouflage?

# One deploys the "George Harrison" when one is told the miserable "you" isn't the real "you".
And yeah, mum's reaction was one of sheer bafflement.

# The pattern might go like this...
Mum: [Nonsensical self imposed conundrum]
You: GEORGE HARRISON, BITCH!!!! [snap fingers]

# Such disrespect!
I am mortified.
