
there was some therapy where they found 3 things which actually work (i'll try to edit in th e link for the research if I find it). they took a group of depressed people and did the following for 2 weeks and each reported feeling better (plus brain activity scan doodah confirmation)
1. post it notes around the house telling them to think of a positiv e thought when they saw it
2. laughing each day for about 20 mins
3. exercise
sounds trite,I know, but something to do with reprogramming the neural pathways or some other bollocks (theres also alot of visualisation work/ turning down the critical self talk recommended too). personally I recommend getting rid of the TV. (I used to have serious depression when I was younger late teens/early 20s and I found meditation worked a treat but I appreciate everyone's different)
