plus I'm still reeling from this comment on the Daily Mail site
"They should start by hanging the children who put graffiti on my local station. That'll teach their parents to get some control.
- Thomas Jenkins, Hastings, 04/8/2011 08:09"
We won't get anywhere until we start hanging children.

I've tried it, and it made me feel much worse. You can't hope to even comprehend the scale of human misery and surrounding yourself with it will only bring you down ,further.
I have found that CV exercise is the best natural cure (coupled with reduced alcohol, and a better diet).

there was some therapy where they found 3 things which actually work (i'll try to edit in th e link for the research if I find it). they took a group of depressed people and did the following for 2 weeks and each reported feeling better (plus brain activity scan doodah confirmation)
1. post it notes around the house telling them to think of a positiv e thought when they saw it
2. laughing each day for about 20 mins
3. exercise
sounds trite,I know, but something to do with reprogramming the neural pathways or some other bollocks (theres also alot of visualisation work/ turning down the critical self talk recommended too). personally I recommend getting rid of the TV. (I used to have serious depression when I was younger late teens/early 20s and I found meditation worked a treat but I appreciate everyone's different)

So the cure was cannabis?
The best time for exercise is in fact when you don't feel like it . . . I recommend something fun (martial arts for instance;)
