I tend to have perfect punctuation in my texts, which is why it takes me quite a bit longer.
Which in turn comes with the bonus of me not sounding like a knobhead.

I took the piss on facebook once, and he took the hump, saying he always struggled with spelling at school.
I thought it was laziness, not an actual spelling problem...

Besides the words in your example are very basic words, which even someone who has a bit of a spelling problem should be able to cope with. It sounds more like lazy texting subsituting U for You - Betta for Better etc. doesn't sound like someone who is illiterate this seems to be more like faux phonetics than genuine issues with the spelling - and I'm not so great either I have to spell check quite a lot.
