I think the Monday got replaced by two Sundays somehow.
Its all very confusing.

The calendar was once used as a map of the month
its all very combustible

Are you suggesting we burn down the days of the month we dislike?
Becasue I'm all for it.

So tomorrow would be (reduced to) Ash Wednesday?
Which means today is Shrove Tuesday.

PANCAKE DAY!
Is Guy Fawkes night when we burn off all the old, used up days from the year?

No, that's when we clean out Guy Pearce's cutlery drawer and get rid of his old forks
It's a very old event, hence the odd spelling.
If you want to get rid of old days, let a neighbour borrow them and never get them back. That is how Lent got its name.

Thinking of making a Vaultdweller costume...
My old school labcoat got stained by 2,4 DNP. Dunno where it got to. Probably mutated and left.

I love you.
So, Xmas day is all porny, and Boxing day is when you put all the porn in boxes to stick in the attic? It all makes sense, suddenly.

Yup
But then retailers appropriated those holidays and made them all about buying new stuff. Film studios appropriated the TV schedules to promote The Great Escape, James Bond, and the Sound of Music. Usually shown separately, unless you find the rather entertaining and underrated "James Bond escapes from the Sound of Music".
