# Edit... I just thought the name 'COB' may bit a bit too regional, and just googled it...
It doesn't even show up on google....

A cob is the name of a bread roll... In fact where I live, they don't really sell rolls at all at sandwich shops... one would always ask for a cheese cob ect....

I think it is probably a word only used in the midlands.....
