# I've never tried gimp
partly because everyone on here who's tried it seems to find it so difficult to use.

# If you've got photoshop there's no real point in using it

# I don`t have a point of reference

I`ll just soldier on:)

# oh wow! it must be pretty damn old then.
my last pc was 6 years old when it fianlly died, but that ran everything with no problems.
the thing i notice most with my new one is the 60 second start time for photoshop has now gone down to about 5 seconds

# oh it`s a nightmare
I get the old "pages unresponsive" thing all the time
may have to dig deep soon :(

# build it yourself, or buy a ready made one?
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 4:04, archived)
# quite intrigued by the build it yourself option
not sure how time consuming it`ll be though
(, Mon 26 Sep 2011, 4:08, archived)
# i always build my own
it doesn't take too long. a couple of hours to get it all together, if you're taking your time, which i'd recommend. then a few hours to get all your programs installed. one afternoon in total?
