Much like with the Star Wars fanbois, it was NEVER going to live up to the expectahype it was given... there was no way they could recreate that sense of wonder the original created.

As a film itself, it was great fun, very pretty and sounded awesome (still play the OST regularly)... and it had scenes like the one above, which always helps. :-D
