for some reason i find cricket deeply dull

Charmed and I tried Vegemite recently, spread thinly on buttered toast with eggs, then on a different day with cheddar.
A very satisfying cultural experience that took far less time.

I'd have to agree though that feeling that you're being educated takes the sting out of mediocre experiences, as does beer. Followed by beer. Then some beer.
