# I didn't know there was such a thing as a 720p CRT
I still have a tube, but I think I may finally go HD during 'Boxing Week' sales as I'm tired of all the widescreen TV signals being cut off on both sides of my screen.

# They are thin on the ground, but Toshiba made a few, Phillips and Sony.
(and I believe bang & olufsen) When I got this it was either 720p crt or 1080i plasma, and the price difference between the two was about 7 grand!
at the time most plasmas only had a 10000 hour life span, and for a TV worth 10k that's just stupid!

# I bought my CRT only about 6 years ago
at the time, it was the last CRT model on display, but all the low-def signals looked like shit on the more expensive LCD screens. But now everything is widescreen/HD and I'm an anachronism.
