I didn't know there was such a thing as a 720p CRTI still have a tube, but I think I may finally go HD during 'Boxing Week' sales as I'm tired of all the widescreen TV signals being cut off on both sides of my screen.

They are thin on the ground, but Toshiba made a few, Phillips and Sony.(and I believe bang & olufsen) When I got this it was either 720p crt or 1080i plasma, and the price difference between the two was about 7 grand!
at the time most plasmas only had a 10000 hour life span, and for a TV worth 10k that's just stupid!

I bought my CRT only about 6 years ago at the time, it was the last CRT model on display, but all the low-def signals looked like shit on the more expensive LCD screens. But now everything is widescreen/HD and I'm an anachronism.
