Actually, I don't think using the same name overwritescos I've got several images with the same name. It seems a unique string of nonsense gets generated when you upload an image and added to the filename.

I've overwritten images using the same name when I've updated an image because of a spelling error or suchit will overwrite.

It doesn't work for meExample - both the below have the same filename, but b3tards gave them different strings of numbers. The new one didn't overwrite the old.
